Sonja Lyubomirsky, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Riverside and author of The How of Happiness and The Myths of Happiness (translated in 23 and 16 countries, respectively). She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Harvard University and her Ph.D. in social psychology from Stanford University. Lyubomirsky and her research on the science of happiness have been the recipients of many honors, including a Science of Generosity grant, two John Templeton Foundation Grants, a Character Lab grant, and a Templeton Positive Psychology Prize. She lives in Santa Monica, California, with her family.
